About Mangosteen

Mangosteen has a thick purple rind and, inside, soft white segments that are sweet and gently tangy. The rind is not eaten; only the segments are.

Ways to use it

Eaten fresh, segment by segment
Added to fruit salads
Blended into juices and desserts

Choosing, storing and preparing

Press the middle of the fruit with both hands until the rind cracks, then lift off the top. A fruit with a soft, glossy rind that gives slightly is ready.

Storage: Refrigerate at 2-4°C; bring to room temperature before serving for best flavour.
